PRIVACY RIGHTS

We, our, and us, when used in this notice, means First State Bank of Beardstown, First State Bank of Rushville (a branch of First State Bank of Beardstown) and FSB Insurance and Investment Services.

This is our privacy notice for our customers. When we use the words “you” and “your” we mean our consumer customers who have a continuing relationship by purchasing or holding financial products or services.

 We will tell you the sources of the information we collect about you. We will tell you what measures we take to secure that information.

A nonaffiliated third party is a person we do not employ or a company that is not an affiliate of ours. This is also known as nonaffiliated third party, or simply, an “other party.”

PRIVACY AND INTERNET BANKING

While at the www.beardstownfsb.com web site, information may be viewed by a third party, however when you enter a secure portion, such as Online Banking, all information becomes encrypted requiring Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL). From the time you log on until exiting the site, SSL technology secretly encodes information that is being sent over the Internet between your computer and the host’s database. All of this information is encrypted preventing a third party from viewing your personal information and intercepting it. SSL encryption is commonly used in Internet applications that require security and privacy for any sensitive data.

Online Banking provides an additional measure of security in that your account numbers are never fully displayed. This feature masks part of your account number so that 123457890 is displayed as XXXXXX7890. As added protection, you have the ability to create an account alias or title to replace the accounts number entirely.

Even with the security systems in place, we ask that you share in the responsibility of keeping your financial information secure. Make sure you are using a browser with the highest level of security available. Remember to always exit and log off properly when leaving our Online Banking feature. Never share your password or PIN with anyone. Please memorize your password or PIN and do not write it down.  As with all banking, please be alert to anyone attempting to obtain confidential information from you regarding your account, such as account numbers, identification and password or another fraudulent activity. Notify us immediately of any suspicious transactions or attempts to gain confidential information regarding your banking with us.
